I’m Gloria

I’m the founder and editor-in-chief of Modern Parenthood Journal, but more importantly, I’m a mom of four (ages 10, 11, 16, and 18) who’s been in the trenches of every parenting stage you can imagine. From sleepless newborn nights to teenage driving lessons, I’ve lived through it all—and I’m here to tell you that none of us have it all figured out, and that’s perfectly okay. If you’re looking for a resource, our modern parenting magazine journal is designed to address the complex realities of parenting today. Modern Parenthood Journal is an extension of our sister company, Modern Parenthood Institute, where we educate and train professionals in the parenting field. With my background in psychology and business, plus experience founding two postpartum and parenting agencies, I’ve seen firsthand what parents really need: honest, evidence-based guidance that actually works in real life—not just in theory. Our modern parenting magazine journal strives to offer that necessary guidance.

My journey into parenting media started way back in high school when I was on the school paper, but it really took shape when I realized how much conflicting advice overwhelmed today’s parents. I wanted to create the resource I desperately needed during my own early parenting days—practical wisdom without the perfection pressure.

When I’m not writing or running our institute here in the Boston suburbs, you’ll find me trying to coordinate four different schedules (success rate: questionable), perfecting my coffee-while-it’s-still-hot skills, and reminding myself that the best family moments usually happen on the most ordinary days. I believe parenting doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful, and sometimes the messiest days make the best memories. Our modern parenting magazine journal celebrates those imperfect yet beautiful moments of family life.
